SUSTARIN C (Acetal) is a general-purpose copolymer acetal that is porosity free. Sustarin® C copolymer has a number of benefits, including strength, tenacity, and toughness in a temperature range of 50-120°C. As a dedicated engineering material, it is now used in applications that were once the domain of metals.
Sustarin® C meets EU and FDA requirements for food contact applications except where foods have 15% or more alcohol content. Due to its highly crystalline nature, Sustarin® C, has excellent machining qualities (especially in wet or moist environments) resulting in close tolerance parts and excellent bright surface finish. Sustarin® C can be used in hot water applications up to 60°C without any hydrolysis effect.
